Help film global “Life In A Day” this Saturday

This Saturday, July 24, 2010,  thousands of people from around the world are going to help film a “Life in a Day” here on planet earth.  Video submissions posted to Youtube will be used to make a feature length documentary about this single day of life.  If you can shoot video and upload it to Youtube, you can participate.

Filmmaker Kevin Macdonald talks about the project

Filmmaker Kevin Macdonald asks that you consider filming the following three things:

  1. What do you fear most in your life today?
  2. What do you love?  What makes you laught?
  3. What’s in your pocket? Film it, describe it…

Having everyone participating do these three things will help provide some common threads upon which he can make his portrait of our world, our lives, in this time and place.

Fetch with Ruff Ruffman honored with Parents’ Choice Award

Fetch with Ruff Ruffman has just been honored with a 2010 Parents Choice award.  I worked on Fetch season 4 field production, props, finale set and in the studio control room.

See all of the award recipients here.

The Parents’ Choice Award website offers this sound advice:

We all agree that watching too much tv can sprout couch potatoes. But watching age appropriate programs, can germinate learning – about friendship, fish or financial ABCs. Manage your child’s television viewing with intelligent choices and parental controls. Set family limits for the what, when and where television shows can be watched.

Welcome

Ah, the scent of a fresh new website!  Welcome to my new website and blog. I’ve worked on a wide range of social media projects and have been waiting for some of these to end before launching my own blog.

Over the last year my work has been growing  to include helping individuals and small organizations take their next steps with video and social media.   I’m enjoying the expanding scope of my work as I’m an educator at heart and love meeting and collaborating with new people.  For the last seven years I’ve been commuting to Boston to work on several nationally syndicated television shows.

This Summer I am moving to Cambridge, MA.  I look forward to meeting and working with those of you in the greater Boston area in person.
